S/S '15 Beauty Trends

Spring has fully sprung (well, in our hearts anyway!) and we have been feeling so inspired by all of the gorgeous new season trends which are blooming. In this post we are going to share our favourite Spring/Summer '15 trends and how you can achieve them at home!

The 'Negative Space' manicure has been progressing in the beauty and fashion world for some time but it has finally hit its peak and is being rocked by catwalk fingertips and highstreet talons alike.
The idea of this manicure is to leave sections of the nail 'naked' or 'negative' and create a design around it.
We are loving the comeback of all things pastel this season and these Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paints will be the perfect base. You can create your negative space by placing stickers over the nail and painting around them before peeling away, or you could grab some nail striper tools to fill in your design - this will give you more precise control and a more detailed design

Lavender eyes are a go to this season and they can be achieved in a number of ways. If your'e feeling bold and powerful you can stick with a full on purple lid - this works especially well with darker skin tones. But if you want to keep it fresh and flirty, blend out your lavender shadows with whites and cream bases.

Bright lips are set to be a big hit this Spring/Summer and with a shade for every skin tone there really is no excuse to skip out! Pair with natural eyes for understated glamour and make sure those lips are exfoliated and moisturised for the perfect, flawless application.

It cant be scary to try out bright lips if you don't usually wear lipstick, but you could always opt for a lip tint product instead for just a touch of colour!

Something which is not all that new to many women (but means you will have got plenty of practise in) is graphic eyeliner.
Most of the trend sways toward black liner, however a slick of electric blue or purple will be right on trend too.

Braids are making a big statement this season, but now they are easier than ever. The 'undone braid' is a more relaxed and messy approach to the classic plait and can easily be achieved with some Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray and a little backcombing from your Bella&Bear 'Brush On You' Detangling set.
Try to keep your braid loose and natural, with strands of hair falling out around the face and by pulling at sections to give it that undone chic this season craves!

A final trend we are big fans of this season is natural, dewy skin. This trend calls for that 'no make up' make up look. Even though great skin can be cheated with make up coverage, the idea of this trend is to keep it natural and minimal so it is always good to give your skin a good start to pull it off. But fear not! Healthy glowing skin can easily be achieved with a little time and the right care products. We particularly love The Body shop Vitamin E range, it is caring on the skin and will leave you glowing!
Start with Vitamin E Cream Cleanser to wash dirt and bacteria from the face and give you a clean slate. Follow this with Vitamin E Hydrating Toner and a pea sized amount of Vitamin E Cream Exfoliator to remove dead skin and give you a glow. A spritz of the Vitamin E Face Mist will refresh and hydrate the skin and a final application of Vitamin E SPF15 Moisture Lotion will protect the skin and give it the moisture it needs to be beautiful!
